Right to Life
FACILITATOR:
Here are links to pro-life organizations that we think that you would find helpful:
Parish Right to Life (Pro-Life) News, Notes and Updates
In the vestibule of the church, there is a small rack of pertinent
current event literature. With Father Kenny's approval, we put there
copies of the Archdiocese Pro-Life newsletter, Signs of Life,
as well as Life Insight, the monthly newsletter from the NCCB
Secretariat for Pro-Life Activities. Also, there will be several
flyers dealing with respect life subjects. AND, there is a small
folder listing all the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in Georgia
should you have a friend in need.
|
While you are checking the literature, pick up your pink and blue antenna
ribbons. Show your solidarity with those others who pray for an
end to abortion. Join the ever growing group of believers willing to
share their belief in the sanctity of life.
|
| POST ABORTION TREATMENT AND HEALING (PATH) is offering both group and individual support to anyone suffering emotionally following an abortion. Many of the trained facilitators with the professional and completely confidential program have been through the program and offer compassion and experience. The program is available in several Atlanta locations. To schedule a private appointment, call Mary Ann at (404)896-6521. |
| The Catholic community is large and diverse. We are
Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We are members of every
race, come from every ethnic background, and live in urban, rural, and
suburban communities. We are CEOs and migrant workers, senators and
persons on public assistance, business owners and union members. But
we are all called to a common commitment to protect human life and
stand with those who are poor and vulnerable. We cannot be indifferent
to or cynical about the obligations of citizenship. Faithful Citizenship: Civic Responsibilty for a New Millennium, p.11 |
