Columbian Squires Youth Program
The Columbian Squires Youth Program is an International Catholic Organization for young men ages 10-18. Since 2001, the Squires of Corpus Christi Catholic Church are exposed to a wide variety of charity, social and spiritual activities. From our international mission trips to the country of Grenada or local projects assisting those in need, to fun activities like camping trips, movie nights, paintball, road trips, sporting events, and many more, the youth participants in our program reap the rewards of actively participating and implementing these events.
Corpus Christi Catholic Association of African Families (CCAAF)
CCCAF is about contributing positively to our immediate community, helping one another grow both physically and spiritually, being our brother's keeper in all that we do- and most importantly, we seek to explore our faith, educate and inform each other, build lasting friendships within our "African Family" and give back to our community. This Catholic Association of Africa's finest familes hope to provide a platform where love and good citizenship among its members will reflect our proud and diverse African culture/heritage.
Corpus Christi Youth Basketball League (CCYBL)
CCYBL is an outreach ministry created to provide a positive and fun learning experience to children in our congregation, and the community at large. Our goals are: Christian Fellowship, Good Sportsmanship, Full Participation, and Basketball Skill Development. The Corpus Christi Youth Basketball Program exists because we believe our church can, and must, play a positive role in the community. When we welcome people into our gym and provide a positive sports experience, we are doing what a Christian community can to make our neighborhood a better place.
The Corpus Christi Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP)
With the support of our parishioners and Thrift Store operations, each year the SVdP Ministry helps thousands of people in need in our community. Through our Family Support Center we assist people/families with jobs, food, clothing, utilities, rent, ect. (call 404-297-5989); and our Thrift Sore is one of the finest in Atlanta (call 404-292-4102). Through your donations of gently used clothes, appliances, furniture, household and kitchen items we help others. We are located at 4871 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 in the Rockmore Plaza for your donations and some great bargains! Your help is always needed to support this wonderful ministry of helping others!
Corpus Christi Seniors
Corpus Christi Seniors is a ministry for males and females 55 years and older. The mission of our service organization is spiritual and fellowship enhancement. We meet every first Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m. followed by 11:00 a.m. Mass and a potluck luncheon.
Health & Wellness Ministry
The Health & Wellness Ministry's goal is the balance of mind, body and spirit, which equals good health.We provide a monthly newsletter to the parish on health tips and monthly blood pressure screenings. Medical training is not required.
Gathering of Women
A "Gathering of Women" is a prayer, scripture study, and discussion group that encourages and supports a mutual foundation of unity, empathy and understanding of one another, as well as celebrates the bond of feminine spirit with all our sisters in Christ in our parish community.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawl Ministry is a ministry of spreading love. We knit and/or crochet shawls to be given to people who are suffering from an illness or the loss of a loved one. All who enjoy good fellowship are welcome to join us, as the skill of knitting or crocheting can be taught. We have two opportunities during the month: the 1st Wednesday at 12:00 noon and the 3rd Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday Men's Bible Study
Every Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m., a small group of men have gathered at Corpus Christi for an hour of coffee and conversation. After brewing coffee and chit chat, we'll read a short bible passage and the commentary. Although a discussion question comes with the commentary, the discussion that follows is spontaneous and free-wheeling- not led by anyone in particular. Men's Bible Study has met virtually every week since 1985.
Servants of the Lord Prayer Group
Servants of the Lord Prayer Group is a charismatic prayer community that serves God's people and shares his love by coordinating outreach ministries, nursing home visits, prayer vigils, and the annual prayer breakfast. We are dedicated to praying and yielding to the Holy Spirit! Join us in the Upper Room every Monday night at 7:30 p.m. to proclaim His word with praises, intercessory prayers, and more!
Sunday Morning Bible Study
We read the scriptures outloud for meaning, and to learn about Jesus who is powerfully alive when we gather in His name. We remember the Vatican II in the Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation, whuch encouraged Catholics to read the Bible.
Women's Bible Study
This is a lectionary bible study with lively discussion on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. The past Sunday's Scriptures, homilies and insights are discussed, followed by discussion of the coming week's scriptures. Meetings offer an opportunity to grow in knowledge of the Scriptures in the contexts of both the liturgy and the Bible. Meetings end with praise and intercessory prayer.
Vitality Yoga is a special class designed to gently strengthen and open the body by use of a chair and wall support. This rejuvenating class is for those who feel limited or restricted physically. All classes will require the use of chairs, room's walls, yoga blocks, straps, blankets and a yoga mat. These props assist students in yoga asanas toward creating correct alignment with a strong emphasis on strength and flexibility. Our class meets every Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
Women's Guild is an organization of women, 18 years and older, who sponsor programs for the parish and community. Our meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. We are a prayer, fellowship and service group.
