Mission & Philosophy
The Corpus Christi Youth Council strives to be the hands of Christ, creating discipleship among the parish youth.
Through a shared mission with Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the Youth Council seeks to maintain multicultural unity
among our youth to promote a worshiping environment to deepen their faith, nurture their spirituality, and live out the
Gospel message.
The Corpus Christi Youth Council shall strive to be a working example of the ideals of Youth Ministry set forth by the
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops within the document, Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic
Youth Ministry. This Youth Council is established firmly on the principle that our young church is the future, thus, we
must provide a platform for the youth agenda, voice and presence within our parish

Dynamic Purpose
Our young people should see themselves as a valuable part of their parish and greater faith community. The purpose of
the Corpus Christi Youth Council will be to:

- Provide an avenue for youth advocacy, voice and presence within the parish and greater community
- Empower our youth to discipleship within their daily lives and active participation in their Catholic faith
- Embrace and sustain a multicultural, intergenerational community of faith and leadership within the young church
- Develop a means of communication, collaboration and partnership between youth serving ministries, the parish, and larger communities
Youth Council Goals
The goals of the Youth Council as outlined in the document Renewing the Vision will be to:
- Empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today;
- Foster the personal and spiritual growth of our parish youth to build the young church;
- Support the growth of a comprehensive, multicultural Youth Ministry within Corpus Christi Catholic Church;
- Involve all young people in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community through diocesan, deanery and parish activities.
